Below you will see the list and description of the enhancements found in the team on mission 4.0 version.

 

Channels
 

User Groups & Channels managed from Webchat :

  • Authorized Webchat users can now create, edit and delete “User Groups/ Channels”.
  • Designated administrators of a “User Groups/ Channels” have the ability to rename the group, modify the participants and delete the channel from the Webchat.
 

*To benefit from this feature, the option “Allow users to create and modify group on webchat” should be activated for your organization. To try it, please contact your reseller.


Share invitation to join channel:
Webchat users are now able to invite users to join channel by sharing a channel link with them.

Dispatcher can transmit in multiple channels simultaneously: Webchat Dispatchers can now transmit simultaneously in up to 10 channels.

Enhanced PTT floor sounds : Mobile users are now able to choose and control which Push-to-talk sounds are played (when taking and/or when releasing the floor) and select between 2 tones for PTT beeps.

Text-to-speech selected channel name: Using text to speech, the group name of the selected channel will be read to the user when switching channels with a physical channel selector button or accessory.

 
Messaging
 

Forward message/attachment to existing conversation:

  • Users can now forward messages & attachment to existing TOM group conversations.
  • Previously, the forward option was only possible to Contacts.
  • This new option is available on Android/iOS applications and Webchat.


Delete message/attachment for all conversations members:

  • User can now delete a message or attachment sent in a private or group conversations. After deletion, conversation participants will no longer have access to the deleted message/attachment.
  • Previously, user could delete message/attachment only on their local device. Other conversation members still kept the message/attachment on their side.
  • This new option is available on Android/iOS applications and Webchat.

Automatic attachment deletion after a retention period:

  • Any attachment can be automatically deleted from user account (on Mobile application and Webchat) after a period of time.
  • The option is configurable at platform level.
 
 
Administration
 

Bulk Update: Administrators are now able to update by bulk user’s main information such as their first / last name, alias, user profile, email, department, position, priority… 

 
Geolocation
 

Point of Interest & Geolocation attachments*: Mobile users can now open a Point of Interest address or a Geolocation attachment received in a 3rd party app.

High speed tracking activation from Webchat*: Webchat Dispatchers can now activate momentarily High-Speed Tracking for users with On Demand or Tracking geolocation enabled directly.

Advanced Telephony
 

Access and communicate from local phone contact directory on TOM mobile application: From Contacts tab, a new “Directory” sub tab is displayed to the users allowing them to search and select contacts from their local phone directory to communicate with them from TOM application. Users can also set some of those contacts as favorites.

Outgoing call barring:

  • Administrator can now prevent users to call a list of phone numbers based on their country code, phone numbers patterns or short numbers/toll numbers.
  • Multiple lists of forbidden phone numbers can be created in the organization: per department, per user profile or at user level.
 
Audit Server
 

New Advanced mode for audit server: It introduces more flexibility in the Audit configuration compare to the Audit Basic mode in which all data for all users were recorded. It allows to:

  • Configure the types of data that can be recorded (all data type except My Business/My Mission processes and Admin activities). The list of data is configurable at platform level.
  • Activate the Audit right per administrator.
  • Associate multiple audit servers to one organisation.
  • Activate per user or per group the Audit option and select which audit server will store the record.
 

New Audio player: From audit interface, auditor can now play directly all audio records (channel burst, PTT call, all audio calls).

New filter per group: Auditor can now filter and retrieve data per group and not only per user.

Search keywords in message: Auditor can search specific name or word in messages stored in the Audit server.

Authentication with OpenID: It is now possible for Auditor to login to its Audit account through their Open ID authentication system.

Set a retention period for attachments:

  • Super administrator of Audit platform can set, per organisation, a retention period for attachments, in days.
  • After retention period, the attachments are automatically deleted from the Audit server.

Deployability
 

OneMAPK Configuration pushed by MDM system:

  • MDM (Mobile Device Management) users are now able to push the OneMAPK configuration (copy of the QR Code content in the SuperAdmin interface) to many mobile devices.
  • In previous version, OneMAPK configuration was done manually by scanning the QR Code for each device.
  • As a reminder, OneMAPK aims to facilitate customization of the Mobile Application without requiring generating new packages.

 – SSL certificates.
 – Privacy Policy, help, Term of use, support email.
 – Look & Feel parameters inside the application.
 – Port and security.

NEW ROOMS FEATURE
 

Previously, Rooms feature allowed any users to create a video conference link with restricted access, and only invited TOM users can join the virtual meeting room.

With the new version, users can now have the right to create meeting links with different access types, according to their needs:

  • Public room: any person, whether or not they are a TOM user, can join the room.
  • Internal room: any authenticated internal TOM users can join the room.
  • Restricted room: only invited TOM users can join the room.
