Job Description
As part of the Product Development team, you will manage one (or more) of the solutions in the StreamWIDE product line. If you are a developer or an engineer in technical consulting with experience responding to RFI/RFQ/RFPs and testing, and you want to advance and grow in an international technical environement, this job is made for you.

Position Description

• Take responsibility for the functional parameters of one or more product(s)
• Display knowledge of the commercial, marketing, and technical stakes of the product, as well as the corresponding markets
• Write functional specifications based on the marketing requirements and the needs of the customers
• Evaluate customer needs with the sales team and the customer
• Produce and monitor product schedules from end to end
• Suggest development priorities and validate them with the Product Development manager
• Coordinate the development teams associated with the assigned products
• Oversee the development of technical product documentation
• Manage change requests and provide Level 3 support
• Implement test plans
• Provide product support to the sales team
• Interact with technical partners (3rd party)
• Participate in presenting to partners, customers, and prospective buyers

Requirements

• Telecommunications skills: TDM, GSM, VAS, IN, SIP (skilled in at least one of these areas)
• Software Project Management skills
• Fluent in English (a working knowledge of French is highly beneficial)
• Excellent writing capabilities
• Skilled in analysis and synthesis, and able to work autonomously
• Work well under pressure
• Rigorous work ethic and attention to detail
• Open-minded team player with good cross-departmental communication skills

Appreciated Technical Skills

• Programming languages: C++, Python, PHP, Perl, Java
• Architectures: n-Tier and databases (MySQL or Oracle)
• Linux (Redhat is highly desired)
• Protocols: http, JSON, XML-RPC, SOAP, Apache, Zend Framework, CakePHP, Design Patterns
• Oracle 10g RAC
• High availability Linux, load balancing, web servers

Profile

• Bachelor/Master degree in computer science or telecommunications
• At least three (3) years of experience in technical consulting or with a telecommunications operator, software editor, or value-added services company
• Dynamic and passionate interest in product development
• Proven writing abilities, experience writing RFP/RFI/RFQs, and have developed test plans
• Able to see the big picture, synthesize large amounts of information into its most important points, accommodate commercial, marketing, and technical constraints, and consistently make choices that maintain high levels of quality and mitigate delays
• Skilled at developing and presenting your vision with conviction
• Willingness to take full responsibility for all aspects of the product with unfailing motivation and spirit
